The Parsons Family

Pastor
Brent A. Parsons

Brent was raised by loving Christian parents and accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 9.  He surrendered to Christian service while attending Falls Creek in the summer of 1993.  Brent began serving as Pastor of Franklin Baptist Church on September 4, 2011.  Brent’s love for Christ and His Church is demonstrated by over two decades of service in churches of every size.  Having preached and baptized in 16 countries on several continents, he has seen the power and presence of God working mightily in the hearts and lives of a variety of people. In addition to his ministry in the local church, Brent spent a decade serving with international non-profits that support the work of indigenous pastors in 3rd world countries.  Along with serving as our pastor, Brent currently serves as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, OKC.  Prior to Franklin Baptist Church, he served as Pastor of First Baptist Church in Newcastle, OK; Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur, OK; and Bi-vocational Pastor of Southern Heights Baptist Church in El Reno, OK.  He is a graduate of Westmoore High School (1993), Oklahoma Baptist University (1997), and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity 2002).
 
Brent and his wife Keely, have three children: Hunter, Hattie, and Maebree

The McCloy Family

Associate Pastor
Youth & Music
​John McCloy

John was called to Franklin Baptist Church as the Associate Pastor of Youth in September 2014. He surrendered to full-time Christian service during the same time. He previously had served as the College and Career leader at Western Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. In August 2016, he accepted the call to become the Associate Pastor of Youth & Music at Franklin Baptist Church. In addition to his ministry at Franklin, he serves as a Regional Resource Development Director for Salvation Army Arkansas/Oklahoma Division. He graduated High School in 2009 and completed his Bachelors in Business Administration in Management from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2018.

John and his wife, Noel, have two children: Cash and Everly.

Children's Ministry Director
Shelby Billimek

Andy & Shelby Billimek

Shelby was raised in a Christian family and spent most of her childhood attending churches in Tennessee before moving to Oklahoma City in 2013, where she attended Southern Hills Baptist Church. While attending Oklahoma Baptist University, Shelby served at Frontline Church in the Kid's Ministry. She graduated from OBU in 2022 with a degree in psychology pre-counseling and a minor in graphic design. The following summer, Shelby accepted the Lord's calling to serve as Children's Minister of Franklin Baptist Church. Shelby also works full-time as the administrative assistant to the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children's Oklahoma City Campus. 

Shelby happily married her husband, Andy, in June of 2022.

Youth Intern
Brennan Roark

Brennan was raised in a Christian family and grew up at Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee. He served as a youth intern at Hillside Baptist in Mcloud during his college years. In 2022 he graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in counseling and a minor in biblical studies. The summer after his graduation, he accepted the Lord’s call to begin serving the Franklin Baptist youth ministry. Along with his work at Franklin, Brennan is working as a missionary at the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children and is also a full-time graduate student, pursuing his master's in marriage and family therapy at OBU.
 
Brennan is happily married to his wife Clara.
